Established on October 2, 1999, in Bagalkot, Karnataka, our institute has been dedicated to empowering individuals through skill development and training. Initially co-sponsored by ING Vysya Bank, we now partner with Kotak Mahindra Bank following their merger. Our facilities include well-equipped classrooms, workshops, and a computer lab, allowing us to offer diverse training programs. Over the years, we have expanded our infrastructure significantly, including the addition of dormitories and specialized skill labs, supported by grants from various organizations. Our committed staff and collaborative partnerships with local bodies ensure a high placement rate for our graduates. We are proud to be recognized for our excellence and continue to strive for the upliftment of our community through education and skill development.
Founded in 1906, Basaveshwar Veerashaiva Vidyavardhak Sangha (BVV Sangha) is a renowned educational institution in Bagalkot, Karnataka, dedicated to advancing education, culture, and social development. The organization, inspired by the teachings of the 12th-century philosopher and social reformer, Lord Basaveshwara, focuses on imparting knowledge that fosters social equality and upliftment. BVV Sangha's initial objective was to provide quality education to students from underprivileged and rural backgrounds, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to society. Over the years, the Sangha has expanded significantly, operating a wide range of educational institutions, including primary and secondary schools, colleges, and professional institutes offering courses in engineering, medical sciences, law, and management. Under the visionary leadership of Dr. Veeranna Charantimath, the current Chairman, BVV Sangha has made remarkable progress. Its institutions are known for academic excellence, producing top-tier professionals and scholars in various fields. Additionally, BVV Sangha emphasizes extracurricular activities and community engagement, instilling a holistic approach to learning in its students. BVV Sangha also plays a pivotal role in social initiatives, promoting women’s empowerment, rural development, and vocational training. Its efforts continue to shape the educational landscape of Karnataka, making it a key driver of progress in the region. The Sangha remains committed to its founding principles, providing equitable access to education and fostering a culture of knowledge and empowerment.
The erstwhile RUDSETI was originally established on October 2, 1999, within the BVV Sangha campus in Bagalkote. For the first four years, BVV Sangha independently managed and conducted the skill development and training programs. In 2003, the then ING Vysya Bank recognized the importance and potential of these activities and joined BVV Sangha as a co-sponsor, providing additional support and resources to expand the reach of the training initiatives. By 2011, the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, was impressed by the success of RUDSETI's concept and results. This led to a significant decision: to replicate the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) model across the country by establishing such institutes in every district. As a result, the BVV Sangha center, which had been operating with the support of ING Vysya Bank, became known as BVVS ING Vysya Bank RSETI, joining a nationwide movement focused on empowering rural populations with employable skills and entrepreneurship training. Following the merger of ING Vysya Bank with Kotak Mahindra Bank in 2015, the center was renamed BVVS Kotak Mahindra Bank RSETI. This transition represented not only a change in sponsorship but also a continuity of the center's mission to serve as a key player in promoting self-employment and skill development among rural youth, supported by the evolving resources and expertise of Kotak Mahindra Bank.
